An act of kindness, religious obligation, or generosity is known as sadaqah. Within the Muslim community, sadaqah contributes to the development of love, comprehension, mutual support, and brotherhood between rich and poor.
In the Qur'an, the term "sadaqah" typically refers to two acts: donating to charity (sadaqah) or annually giving to charity (zakat). Of all the people, Allah's Messenger was the most generous, and he used to be more generous during Ramadan. Says Allah (SWT): And donate what we have given you to charity before one of you dies, and he says, "The Lord! I would give Sadaqah, or charity, from my wealth, and join the righteous if you would only delay me for a brief time in this world. Q 63:10.
Due to the numerous virtues associated with this month, the annual beginning of Ramadan is always a special occasion for Muslims. During this holy month, Allah's blessings and forgiveness were felt at every moment. When one realizes how little time he has to prepare for Judgement Day, one will be delighted to welcome Ramadan. When one realizes how many sins they have committed, they will only feel happiness and joy as they welcome Ramadan.
Through sadaqah, also known as giving charity or alms, Allah has made it possible for His slaves to receive significant rewards during the holy month of Ramadan. Muslims are always encouraged to support numerous charities, especially during Ramadan. And that would presumably be the way of believers; generous. The followers of Islam were even taught by Allah and His messenger to be generous and open-handed by them. The following hadith reveals that one of Allah the Exalted's characteristics is generosity:
إن الله تعالى جواد يحب الجود ويحب معالي الأخلاق ويكره سفسافها
“Indeed, Allah the Exalted is the Giver, He loves generosity and noble manners, He detests bad manners.” (Narrated by Al Baihaqi, classed sahih by Al Albani in ‘Shahihul Jami’, 1744)
”According to the Hadeeth of Baraa and others, the virtue of charity during Ramadan is seventy times greater than its virtue during other times of the year. This was narrated by Al Baihaqi and classified as sahih by Al Albani in "Shahihul Jami" (1744).In Ramadan, charity receives a double reward, and Allah the Almighty may also double the reward of all righteous deeds, including charity. This blessed month is sought after. The Prophet declared: Charity brings people closer to Allah in the same way that obligation brings people closer to Allah elsewhere. This shows how much it will pay off.
This represents the virtue of charity in all of its manifestations. The people who give noble causes in Ramadan and increment their foundations in that have followed the case of the Prophet and understood the excellence of doing as such. However, we would like to remind our brothers and sisters that it is against the law to defer paying the Zakah that was due before Ramadan to receive its reward. Because he should have paid it in advance rather than delaying it until Ramadan, the person who does this does wrong to himself.
